My first time in Greece, alone until the second day, when I met a guy from the US and we travelled together for the next five days. It was hot, the sunset from behind the Parthenon was the best I've seen, and I have never seen so many cats, every one of them fed, brushed and clearly running the place. I had booked my hostel weeks in advance, which is how I ended up paying more than he did for a worse one. So be careful which hostel you choose. Yellowsquare, I recommend.
