The cable car took the four of us up from Cortina and we hiked down to Armentarola the same day. A rest day followed, then two nights in huts up among the peaks, the last one close to the Tre Cime, which sat in cloud the whole time. Some of the best views of my life are on this page. The Tre Cime unfortunately didn't make it into a single frame. Goddamn, the clouds were really not on our side.
